IT'S TIME FOR US TO GATHER....
There are so many forces and narratives in the wider world just now instilling or pushing for separation.
And one of the biggest fracture lines at play within and between us humans has been and continues to be the division between men and women.
In this context, it can be easy to get stuck in the closed-loop feedback system of our own assumptions and beliefs and/or the narrow confines of familiar social groups or (deliberately targeted) social media messaging that confirm our wounds and prejudices – thereby reinforcing the experience of separation - rather than opening our hearts and minds in the spirit of connection and understanding.
The truth is we have all, at some time or other, acted in ways that have been harmful to another/the opposite sex.
And we have all been harmed by the opposite/another sex.
Whether out of unexamined social conditioning, ignorance, immaturity or a lack of self-awareness.
Recognising that is an important step. But getting bogged down in it without tending to the healing and sovereignty it’s inviting, harms us, others, the planet and future generations.
It’s my belief, that the confrontational pitting of masculine and feminine against one another, both internal and external, along with a patriarchal legacy of contempt for the feminine (in men and women) doesn’t just contribute towards gender division and violence, but lies at the root of war, ecological destruction and economic exploitation.
And the only way out is for each of us to tend to our wounds, take accountability, get curious, continually cultivate deeper levels of awareness and bridge the divide in understanding through meaningful dialogue and connection with the opposite/other sexes.
Having been a facilitator of personal and spiritual growth for others over many years, including holding mixed groups focussed upon authentic relating and conscious intimacy, I am called to create a heart-centred container for men and women to come together to share in practices of embodied awareness and mutual witnessing.
So as to forge real-life connection and understanding, away from the polarising narratives of social media echo chambers and the de-humanising influence of excessive screen-time.
Sitting face to face and soul to soul: making space to speak our truth, whilst also cultivating the capacity to feel and hear the truths of others. Allowing all perspectives to co-exist in a space of compassionate presence. And remembering the body and stillness as our anchors beneath the stories and identities that can sometimes get in the way.
These will be gently facilitated sessions, including one portion of the evening focussed upon somatic awareness and embodied meditation techniques to bring us into presence and connection, followed by a sharing circle in which each participant will be given an equal amount of time to speak. The sharing portion will give space both for a) general sharing and b) speaking to a specific topic, named on the night.
There will be two groups: one in person and one online, running over the course of 6 consecutive weeks as follows:
Mondays - On Zoom, 7-9pm
November 2nd - December 7th, 2026
Capped at 12 participants
Thursdays – Glastonbury, In Person, 7-9pm
Nov 5th – Dec 10th, 2026
Capped at 8 participants
The intention will be to achieve a gender balance in both groups, so that men and women have an equal opportunity to hear from one another.
Places are limited and participation is by application to Shakti.
Please send an email using the contact forms below stating your name, why you wish to join the group, what you hope to receive from it and a phone number you can be contacted on.
Every potential participant will then be invited to a brief video call prior to registration.
Once the 6-week meeting series is complete, there will be the opportunity for feedback and the option to continue meeting in the New Year.
